Academics:
Technology plays an important role in the lives of students and is manifest in several activities carried out on school campus. To begin with, all students can access a world of information via the school’s subscription of approved academic contents such as e-magazines and various audio-visual materials. Our world class laboratories for computers, mathematics and sciences are beneficial for students. Our library is stocked with over 10,000 books including fiction, non-fiction, child health, periodicals, encyclopedias and subject reference books among other.
Besides the CBSE curriculum that comprises NCERT books, we have incorporated TeachNext digital classes that enhance the learning of children. Our In-class Public Announcement System is for making important announcements and is especially useful for disaster management training. Although our tests and examinations are paper-based, we have the provision of Optical Machine Reader (OMR) Assessment facility that we shall use in the near future.
Our latest initiative is introducing 3D printing technology aimed at enabling students to visualize and design anything they read about. As the name suggests, 3D printing enables the printing of sketches made on a digital file as three-dimensional objects. It is a practical demonstration of what students read in books and is aimed at enabling students to visualize and design whatever they want to learn about and observe the physical models.
Parent-Teacher Communication:
We have installed an Automated Assessment System called Report Bee, via which parents are connected with their wards’s performance in school in realtime. Our campus is Wifi-enabled which makes it easy to communicate to parents as and when required.
Extracurricular Activities:
Arts, craft, music, dance and theatre are the oxygen for any school. We have separate activity rooms where children gather everyday to express their creativity. We have a trained set of teachers to hold these classes. Our Literary Club ensures that our students participate and win medals in inter-school debates and elocution competitions. Spicmacay conducts annual plays and stage events for the pleasure and learning of our students. It has increased our students’ interest in theatre manifold.
Sports:
EduSports, India’s best sports and physical education system for schools is our partner. This Bangalore-based organization provides a team of experts to teach and train students into all forms of sports, rules and regulations, physical skills as well the psychology they should have while playing and conduct activities on a daily basis in school. What is unique is that EduSports offers a regimented curriculum carefully designed for each age group and prepares a Report Card on health and fitness for every child. Delhi-based Altitudes Adventure is another partner which conducts adventure sports such as Burma Bridge, Net climbing, Flying Fox, Rope Ladder and Monkey climbing among others. We have a huge cricket and football field and courts for volleyball and basketball. There is also a dedicated space for indoor games such as chess, table tennis and carom.
Campus facilities:
Our buildings are powered by solar energy. This is a step taken towards making our school a green campus. Our landscapes comprise huge gardens and beautiful flowers all year round, making the campus a pleasant place to move around. The classrooms are spacious. Hygienic drinking water and a dispensary are also available.
Security:
Hi-tech CCTV cameras are installed inside the classrooms, staff cabins and across the campus, ensuring safety of our people at all times. We also have a well trained team of security personnel guarding the school campus.
